Izuku Midoriya (緑谷 出久)

Izuku Midoriya, also known by his alias "Deku," is the protagonist of My Hero Academia. He starts as a Quirkless individual in a world where nearly everyone has a superpower (referred to as a "Quirk"), but his life changes dramatically when he inherits the powerful Quirk "One For All" from All Might, the greatest hero. Deku’s journey is one of self-discovery, overcoming immense challenges, and striving to become the number one hero.

Appearance

Izuku has distinctive green hair and bright green eyes. His hair is often unruly and spiky, which gives him a youthful and energetic appearance. Initially, Deku is seen with a more reserved expression, but as he gains confidence through his training, his facial expressions become more determined and focused. As he becomes a student at U.A. High School, he dons the school uniform and later the costume he wears as a hero-in-training, which includes the iconic gauntlets that help him control the immense power of One For All.

Personality

Deku is kind-hearted, selfless, and determined. Despite being born Quirkless, he has always admired heroes and dreamed of becoming one. His persistence in achieving his goal, even after being told that he was not cut out for heroism, defines his character. He is highly empathetic and often thinks about how his actions will impact others, which is both a strength and a weakness, as it sometimes holds him back. As he trains and learns to control his new Quirk, Deku matures, developing leadership skills and learning what it truly means to be a hero. He also has a deep respect for his mentors and peers, constantly working to live up to the legacy of All Might.
